Beauty Blogs Backstage with Cosmeddicted

It’s been a while since I posted one of these Beauty Blogs Backstage  interviews but this month, I was interviewed by K from Cosmeddicted (and vice versa). K is a Japanese blogger who writes very well put together reviews about skin care, bath products and make-up.

Here are the answers that K gave me, and please go and visit her blog here  to view the questions she asked me…

1)      Why did you start your blog?

I have always loved playing with makeup and beauty products.  After watching a few YouTube videos, I started reading blogs. I noticed that a lot of the girls were friends with each other, even though they had never met.  I was fascinated with this community and wanted to join!

 2)      You blog frequently about your weight loss journey – how is it going, and do you have any tips for staying motivated?

What a tough question.  In terms of the actual weight that I have lost, it is really near zero.  However, I’ve really started to take care of myself.  After moving abroad, I’ve noticed easily I can get sick if I don’t take care of myself.  I feel so much better when I try to eat more fresh vegetables and exercise! 3)      What do you do to relax?

Take a long, hot bath.  In Japan, people wash their bodies separately and use the bath only to soak.  I like to sit in the bath and read magazines until I am sweating.  It gets my circulation going and I feel a lot better.

4)      What are your favourite Japanese beauty brands and why?

Kate has fantastic gel eyeliners.  A lot of Japanese eyeshadows are not pigmented, but Visee has good pigmentation.  Canmake offers a lot of great products at cheap prices, and I especially like their blushes.  Daiso (the dollar store) has some great products as well – I love their false eyelashes.  The list goes on and on!

5)      Did you watch the Royal Wedding? And if so, what did you think of it?

I was on my way home from work when the Royal Wedding started, and got home in time to see the kiss!  I also saw the “condensed” version as well, which was great: no waiting for Kate to show up, but just all of the great bits. I absolutely loved it!  The best part was that it was really clear that Kate and William love each other.  The cutest part was when William and Harry were waiting at the altar, and Harry said something to William.  According to lip readers, he said, “wait till you see how she looks.”  How cute!

6)      What’s your best make-up tip?

Wear sunscreen, even if it’s cloudy outside, and even if you are staying indoors.  Sunscreen is cheap compared to the lasers and peels you’ll need to get rid of discoloration!

7)      You win £100 on the lottery. What do you spend the money on?

Put it in the bank for my next trip abroad!  I’m trying not to spend money on everyday items – no new beauty products, no new clothes – sothat I have enough money to go home often!
