It’s time to play the music…It’s time to light the lights… It’s time to meet the Muppets…
Here it is. Finally. I’ve been showing you the odd teaser from this collection for the last couple of months, and now the OPI Muppet collection is readily available online and in the shops. I purchased the ones that were of interest to me, which was more of the shimmery shades than the glitters. I may cave in at some point and get the rest of the glitters (being as this is a limited edition range and all) but for some reason they just weren’t doing it for me as much as the Burlesques did from last year.

So, let’s take a look. Wocka Wocka is a fabulously named utterly gorgeous red shimmer. It’s a bit of a shape shifter, where in some lights it appears a deep berry red, and in others a bright andvibrant red. It applied really fast – the formula is thick yet runny, so I did have some pooling around the cuticles. This is three coats. This is really similar to other shades, such as Nars Rouge Andalou, but so isn’t the most original, but it looks perfect and I’d heartily recommend it if you are in the market for such a shade.

Divine Swine. I bought this and I’m not sure why. The silver glitter really upsets me. I’m not good with multi-sized pieces of glitter plonked onto my nails. It looks irregular and nags me – I couldn’t wear this out of the house. Probably says more about my quirks than it does about the polish but there you go. The base shade is utterly gorgeous, pinky-purple micro glitter in a pale pink jelly. If could pick the silver discs out of it and just be left with the base glitter, I’d be very happy! Not quite in the spirit of things, eh?

Warm & Fozzie was the polish I was most looking forward to from this collection and it doesn’t disappoint. Copper foil with pink and green shimmer, this is a showstopper. Not like anything I have ever seen before. This was three coats.

Animal-istic is another stunner. Orange toned red heaped full of pink shimmer. It reminds me of Emberstone, from the new Orly Mineral FX collection, only less foily. A tad sheer, this was three coats but really needed four.

Pepe’s Purple Passion is totally promising in the bottle, but is a tad weird on the nail, kind of chunky and in real need of topcoat. I love it though and am planning on wearing it to a hen party I’m going on this weekend. It is a raisin-y base with shards of pink flake. Again, super unusual.

Meep Meep Meep is a classic example of the kind of polish that I love. It’s not the most original but I will always give house room to these flashy fuchsia shades. This is slightly redder than Let Me Entertain You from the Burlesque collection and is shimmery and stunning.
Those are the ones that I bought the other day (from Sally’s). I thought I’d also add in the samples I received earlier in the year as well.

Gone Gonzo – very bright blue and silver chunky glitter – read the full review here

Excuse Moi. Multicoloured glitter in a pink jelly base. I’m not crazy about this one – it is a bit orange for me. Read my full review here

Designer de Better. Probably still my favourite from this collection. Pewter toned silver with orange flecks. Totally unusual and the only one I’m likely to get a back-up of. Read the full review here
What do you think? Which ones are you tempted by? I far prefer the shimmer side of this collection, but I know the glitters will have a lot of fans out there. Tell me, which are your favourites?

I prefer the shimmer ones too, even though Divine Swine looks gorgeous too…
I understand how you feel about the irregular large glitter – I feel a similar way.
Unfortunately (or fortunately for my wallet) I’m not feeling any of this collection.
I’m not a fan of the ones with the randon silver glitter chunks either, but I love all of the others and will probably be getting them all come pay day! Now where did I put my Sally’s card…
love love love Animal-istic! Gorgeous!
W00t, your Divine Swine base is colored?! O.o Mine’s clear. I’m now very confused. Also, my Meep-Meep-Meep is identical to my Let Me Entertain You in terms of base color. This is really super confusing!
Oh wow! I love nearly all of these- esp Fozzie and Animal. I agree with you on big irregular glitters pieces. They just look… wonky!
I’m still adding the Muppet collection to my Xmas list though.
All I can say is I want them all!
I wonder if you got an early, superceded, version of Excuse Moi, as mine is hot pink – and i’ve just done a quick search online for recent swatches, and they’re all super pink too!
I need Animalitastic because, well, ANIMAAAAL! I like the look of Warm & Fozzie too.
[...] blogs. I had been struggling to narrow down my choices until I saw this fab post from Helen at Just Nice Things which shows swatches of the whole collection. In the end I picked up Warm & Fozzie and Rainbow [...]
