Nina Ultra Pro Punki Purple

Good morning, everyone. Today I have another Nina Ultra Pro polish to show you. I have to be honest, I didn’t even know that we could get Nina polishes here. I found this tucked away in a corner of a Sally’s Hair & Beauty place. I think I could probably live in that shop.

Any way, they had a little stand of Nina polishes that did look rather depleted. Once I had gently elbowed some other people out the way, this is the one that immediately caught my eye.

Punki Purple. Hate the name. Love the colour. It is a bright, bright vibrant pink – like a bluer fuschia. I have a bajillion pinks and berry shades in my collection, but nothing quite like this. Firstly, its matte. What? That really shocked me when I put it on. I’m, over matte. Stop it. The only endearing feature of it being a matte polish was that it dried super fast. This is three coats and it was touch dry within five minutes.

But I didn’t want it to be matte, so I added a layer of topcoat. Much better. So now I’ve essentially got an awesomely bright nail polish that dries uber fast. So whilst I might be over the matte look, I suppose it comes in handy.

Embarrassingly, I can’t remember how much this cost. I’ve googled it and these retail for about £8.00 on eBay (15ml). I suppose there’s only one thing for it – I’ll have to head back to Sally’s and take a look…. purely for research purposes, you understand…

    Gorgeous colour, it’s almost flourescent!

I wonder if it has neon pigment in it – as neon pigments normally dry matte, too? It looks that way from the bottle picture, but looks quite jelly on your nail!

I’ve got a feeling they’re £3.95 but Sally’s often have them on three for two.

I’ve seen these polishes in my local Sally’s – they’ve got quite a large collection, but I haven’t given in to temptation and bought any yet. I don’t think they’re as much as £8 though – more like £3, maybe?

I love this! I’ve never paid much attention to these in Sally’s, I think that the packaging sort of put me off and they always looked like really boring, dated shades. I will have a look ofr this one next time I’m in there.

Do you have a Sally’s card? You really need to get one if not, you’ll save yourself a small fortune! I always stock up on OPI’s on VAT free day.

They have loads of these in my Sally’s! I’m going later, I’ll twitpic the stand (and buy a few now I’ve read a review of them)
