Recently we were asked to review a nameless new beauty product which doubles up as a face wash and mask. To remind yourselves, here’s the post.
We can now reveal the name behind this mysterious product is…
Clearasil? I haven’t used this since I was a teenager! Well Clearasil has reinvented itself and created the Vitamins & Extracts face care range including PerfectaWash, a gadget that dispenses the perfect dose of skin-kind ingredients for visibly clearer skin.
The battery-operated device dispenses the correct amount of face wash when its sensor detects your hand under the dispensor so there is contact and the chances of spreading bacteria are kept to an absolute minimum. It does bear a striking resemblance to a hand-wash touch-free dispenser, mind… Refills are available by the way.
I’ve tried the Wash & Mask and think it’s a pleasant, gentle product to use. Clearasil always made me feel quite clinical with its anti-bacterial feel and smell, but this fruity alternative is far more gentile to use on any skin, and smells lovely too – you needn’t be a teenager either.
The range features five cleansing products in total, packed with antioxidant properties and soothing plant extracts, to solve common skincare dilemma‘s and help deliver healthier, clearer and more luminous looking skin.
Wash & Mask retails for £4.99 and the complete Perfectawash system is £12.99, available at www.boots.com and other retailers.
So, are you surprised?

I have one of these dispenser devices (different brand). It is quite sinister and sometimes starts whirring away when I’m nowhere near it. Then it dispenses liquid soap and makes a mess of the basin!
I’m sure Clearasil would strip the skin from my chiselled cheekbones (hah). It’s strong stuff. Or always used to be…
Yes, I remember Clearasil feeling very harsh on my skin and unfortunately it didn’t prevent my acne – I had to get antibiotics for that. The face wash and mask is very gentle and kind on the skin, and something I would use regularly.
