OPI Absolutely Alice

Now correct me if I’m wrong but I think this little gem was the bestseller of the OPI Alice In Wonderland collection.

I can see why – many people were disappointed with China Glaze’s Dorothy Who (from the Wizard of Ooh-Ahz collection) and Absolutely Alice came out at about the same time. I don’t own Dorothy Who but I have heard tell that AA is a better consistency and colour.

So. I love this for the sheer fact that it is not a variation on a polish I already own. I’d never even dreamed that I wanted a blue and gold glitter polish, until I got one, and now – I love it!

Remember my disappointment with Nubar’s Sky Sparkles? Well – this more than makes up for it.

So, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, as I know there are a lot of other good reviews of this out there.  It’s true, this is absolutely marvellous.

I’m not entirely sure when I’d want to wear this one as it’s not exactly an everyday polish. But it is one of those things where it is just sooo utterly shiny and pretty that there will always be room for it in my collection.

Application was good. Once aqgain I chose to layer it over a nude polish but that has more to do with the fact that I’ve been reviewing loads of nudes recently than anything to do with this shade.

This is two coats, and it covered beautifully. You do see some tipwear in these photos but this is Day Three.

I wish that the photos could capture the utter sparkliness of this polish. Like I say, very pretty and special. I know some people have complaineed that the OPI Alice in Wonderland glitters just flaked off on them, but on me they was fine, perhaps because I wore them over an existing manicure.

I have to confess that what with these, and the Nubar sparkles, I do feel kind of glittered out, and ready for some plainer shades. But I am very happy I have this and an extremely grateful to the lovely Radiant Babe for sending me the Alice mini set as an early wedding gift.Thank you, Dawn!

I shall try this soon. Hatter did flake on me which I did not appreciate at all so I hope Alice adheres better. I like this on you. It looks really good on long nails.

How can you be glittered out? That I never am. I love this polish. Looks gorgeous on you. I wish my nails would grow long like yours. They’d be easier to polish I think. How about a nice glitter polish for your wedding? A pretty pink would be nice and it would last long also. Just a suggestion. Have a wonderful weekend sweetie, love to you.

Well, both of the glitters chipped on me, but I really didn’t mind much, they were so pretty to look at! The one thing I have to say I didn’t like, and that I didn’t run into with Dorothy Who? was how rough this dried, and even with two coats of CND Air Dry (which levels absolutely everything!) it was still rough. But the color? Stunner! It looks fabulous on you :)
