Alessandro nail polish in Pearly Violet
I’m new to Alessandro nail polishes. It’s a German brand that I laid eyes on for the first time last week at the launch of Lac Sensation, their 99 shades of UV nail polish manicure.
I was given this Cadbury’s chocolate purple number to try and I kept it on my nails for 5 days before boredom got the better of me. A couple of nails on my right hand chipped but my left remained flawless. I’m a firm believer in anything engineered by the Germans is always built to last like my car and my lawnmower, so I’m not surprised this polish has lasting power too.
It has a flat brush for easy application, along with a special recessed cap for a steady grip as you apply the polish – that has to be my favourite bit about Alessandro’s polishes. It makes all the difference when the handle is easy to grip and control.
It is a surprisingly thin polish and I was dubious after seeing how transparent the first coat was. I ended up painting 3 coats which doesn’t amount to a thick finish and dries fast for a very smooth result.
Purples are annoyingly difficult to capture on camera but I can assure you the finishing and colour on this is stunning. To find out more about Alessandro or to buy online, visit http://www.alessandro-international.co.uk/.
