If my brows have been looking particularly ‘on point’, then it’s because I’ve been using Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil*.
Benefit released an arsenal of brow products last year, targeting every brow woe. The Goof Proof Brow Pencil is my pick of the bunch – a brilliant product that simplifies shaping and filling brows with precision and ease. It really is goof proof.
Available in six shades, my true match is the darkest at number six, which will be the one for those with black hair.
The double ended brow pencil has a built-in spoolie brush one on side and the brow pencil (which is angled) is on the other. The angled brow tip is fantastic – no need for sharpening and it applies softly but not to the extent it is buttery and difficult to control. It is also buildable.
I find it so much easier than a brush as the tip glides effortlessly and blends in with my natural brow bristles, enabling me to achieve more defined brows with a natural finish. The packaging, on the other hand, is a bit cheap and tacky although lightweight. Apparently Benefit’s tests prove it can last 12 hours. I haven’t felt the need to touch-up so I guess that claim is pretty accurate.
Coming in at £18.50, it’s a reasonable price for a product that never fails to delivers and has firmly made its home in my must-haves. The Goof Proof Eye Pencil is available from Look Fantastic, House of Fraser, Boots, Feel Unique and other retailers of Benefit Cosmetics.
