For someone who owns a lot of lipsticks (and which beauty blogger doesn’t?) I certainly don’t wear them as often as I’d like to and I feel guilty about that. It’s probably the most convenient item of make-up, easy to slip into your handbag and gives instantly dramatic results in seconds. Besides, I don’t know one girl whose face doesn’t light up over a gorgeous lippy (‘cept for those who are scared to wear one).
A few days ago I was sent Glō Minerals’ lipstick in Bordeaux and suffice to say, it has nudged me hard to stop neglecting my lipstick wearing duties.
Upon first inspection, the bullet of Bordeaux looks frightfully bold but in actual fact, is much more toned down on the lips. The rich berry shade goes on smoothly and with its moisturising ingredients (Vitamins A, C, E and Green Tea, plus Titanium Dioxide) nourishes the lips and it has UV protection too. I am pretty weary of moisturising lipsticks as usually the vibrancy of the colour is lost and you’re left with a buttery consistency that feels really greasy on the lips. Thankfully this isn’t the case with Bordeaux, which not only looks lovely but feels comfortable to wear.
The complete glō minerals make-up range which launched in 2002, uses only pure pharmaceutical grade minerals and anti-oxidants selected by dermatologists. It’s also paraben, dye and perfume free.
Unfortunately for me, my mum has pinched this lipstick and for someone who doesn’t fancy really dark shades but still craves a healthy dose of colour, I think she will love this more.
glō minerals lipsticks are available in over 20 shades priced at £15. To buy online visit www.glo-minerals.com.
