China Glaze QT
2011

Ooh it has been a while since we’ve reviewed a holo polish here at Just Nice Things. Not that we don’t like holo polishes – far from it, just that we prefer to
test them out in the summer when we stand a better chance of actually seeing what they can really do.
I actually first saw QT on Sheenie, believe it or not. She wore it when we went to a spa day a couple of years ago and I clocked it sparkling and pinging away in the sunshine of the outdoor pool and thought how gorgeous it was. I still think it looks a million times better on Sheenie
than it does on me – check here to see for yourself.
Anyway. I find that QT is a relatively weak holo, as these things go. Until the light hits it, it looks like a bog standard pink, certainly nothing to write home about.
But as you can see, it’s very pretty indeed. The holo is pretty linear and more or less orange with a hint of purple. You don’t get the whole spectrum here, but actually that makes it rather more tasteful.
Application is fantastic. Like all holographic polishes, this dries within moments and is perfectly applied with two coats. It’s a shame that these polishes aren’t more readily available, as let’s face it, everyone loves a holo, and this is one of the good ones!
EDIT I am desperately sad though as my my bottle of very- hard-to-find QT bit the dust recently. I went to reach for it and found that the neck had snapped clean off, causing me to spill it all over my duvet. So now I have a cream duvet cover with a big patch of QT in the corner, and no polish left in the bottle. Sad times.

RIP QT. I am using my FYI sparingly
xx
Oh no that’s so sad
it’s a beautiful polish. It would have to happen to a htf one.
I can’t view the pictures on the link you’ve provided. Don’t know if it’s my computer or the pictures have been lost
It’s not your computer, Louise. A while ago something wiped off a lot of our old images from the server (no idea why) so Helen and I are slowly re-swatching for old posts. Sadly there are some posts that are irreplaceable with photos.
How awful breaking a holo! Love any holo. Looks wonderful on you. Wish China Glaze would come out with a new collection.
