Essie Set in Stones
Leanne of Do Not Refreeze is all over glitter polishes like a tramp on chips. I, on the other hand, don’t indulge in them much because they are horrendous to take off (I don’t have the patience to cocoon my nails in cotton pads and seal with tin foil). However, Essie has lured me back in with their latest collection of glitter top coats and this sparkling number has stayed on my nails for a week with little chipping. Honestly, I haven’t stopped admiring the paint work.
A mesmerising multi-dimensional top coat, Set in Stones is made up of hectagonal shapes and a varying degree of smaller glitter speckles. It’s not too much for a glitter fiend like myself to tolerate and doesn’t look tacky.
I layered this on top of the blackest of black polishes, A England’s Lancelot. The combination has got a lot of attention and admiration from many folks. It reminds me of those sparkly bathroom or kitchen floor tiles Helen’s always lusting after or perhaps a shattered disco ball.
Durability is superb. As I mentioned, I kept this on for a week and of course Essie polishes are free from DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde.
