Eyeko Nude Polish

I advise the easily offended among you to look away NOW. I was tempted to write this as an April Fool, telling you all how much I adore this polish and that it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen. But I just couldn’t bring myself to tell you such a bare-faced lie, 1st April or otherwise.
In all my years (OK, two) of nail blogging, and all my years (too many) of buying nail varnish, I’ve never seen anything that looks quite so heinous on me.
This is going to be a short post as I don’t want you to stay here having to look at this for too long today. Isn’t it vile?
I find Eyeko’s application to be hit and miss. Often a glob of polish gets stuck at the top of the stick part of the brush, resulting in an unexpected dollop appearing on your manicure. Irritating and trickly to control.
Any way. It’s grim. I’ve never seen anything look so terrible on me. I should have done a couple more coats to even it up a bit, but to be honest, once I’d started, I couldn’t wait to get it off. I know there are people out there who love this polish, and fair play to you, but it’s definitely not one for me.
Now shuffle along and look at something pretty to make you feel better. I’ll be back tomorrow with something much nicer for you to cast your eyes on.

This is how I feel about MAC Viva Glam Gaga II… it’s just this sort of sheer peachy nude that manages to make most women look sickly in some way. It’s not you, it’s the polish!!!
It’s just not the colour for you. I love it on me. My skin tone is a lot warmer than yours though. Just strawberries and gravy. Nothing wrong with either but they don’t belong together.

To add insult to injury I’ve heard they’ve gone up to £5 from £3.50 as well!
