It is very quiet without Helen, isn’t it? I feel I owe to her to do more posts on nail polishes – it’s almost a staple diet on this blog. Well, I have one beauty to share with you that I clapped eyes on at Asda’s big beauty event. One beauty amongst many from all the exciting new products they unveiled in fact. More on those later…
For now feast your eyes on Pirate, one of four metallic shades from George’s Molten Metals collection. In its bottle it looks like a light purple but out of it and on the talons, it comes alive as a vibrant lilac.
Helen and I love the nail polishes from George. The bottles are cute and a decent size, the lacquers offer pretty good to excellent coverage and due to high demand, they’ve expanded into a huge range of colours. It’s hard to believe they only cost as little as £1 too. For affordable nail polishes, without a doubt George have some of the best selection going. It’s just annoying no branches near us stock them.
Any way, Pirate is a high pigment polish with creamy metallic finish and high gloss appearance, opaque in one coat though I am wearing two. I am sure the other metallic shades are equally as enticing. What do you think? Have you tried any George polishes recently? I’d love to know which ones.
Molten Metal nail polishes cost £2 and are available in selected stores or online.

I’m pretty impressed with the George polishes although I will admit that the molten metals are a pig to apply. I end up doing one coat for coverage and a second to neaten up.
