It’s been a while since I last posted on my laser hair removal experience with Sk:n. I underwent two more sessions last month – one for my chin area and the other for my underarms. I had to change my appointments due to other commitments taking priority. It’s reassuring to know there is flexibility in rearranging visits though this must be done the day before by 10am or you will be charged.
I’m half way through my courses and already I am seeing a vast difference. The coarse hairs have been eradicated. I’m left with a few sparse and very, very fine hairs in my underarms and virtually nothing around my chin and jaw. I don’t remember when I’ve had to shave because any regrowth is barely noticeable. To say I am thrilled with the results so far is a bit of an understatement.
As the areas I am having treated are small, my sessions take no more than 5 minutes which is a massive relief as I don’t know how I would manage if there was more surface area to cover.
I’ve said it before, laser is uncomfortable and the sensation varies. This time I felt it hurt slightly more and I strongly suspect it is to do with the time of the month. I’ve had painful bikini waxes when I’m due to come on as the pain threshold is lower then. Nevertheless my nurse did a fantastic job of being quick and precise with treating me.
My next two sessions are coming up in the next fortnight. The end is almost nigh and once complete, the complete process will have taken 6 months. If you’re considering laser hair removal and would like to speak to a consultant at Sk:n, visit www.sknclinics.co.uk.
