Yes, that is the actual product name.  Nothing fancy, simply what it claims to do.  Surely it could have been condensed to ‘Quick Blow Dry Hair Spray’? though?

Well I’ll get straight to the point (rather like its namesake).  Specialist in tresses, Lee Stafford has brought out a product which promises to shave minutes off blow-drying hair.  The longer your locks, the longer it takes – isn’t that right, ladies?  And how tedious is it, waiting for your hair to dry when you’re in a hurry to get to work in the morning?

If I had the time, I would prefer to wash and dry my hair in the morning rather than the night before.  My hair is always a mess and difficult to restyle after all that tossing and turning I do in bed!  So, I was delighted when I was sent this product to trial.

It claims to dry your hair 20% quicker, based on a trial of 50 women.  (What about men, Lee?)  All you do is spray it through your hair, style and blast some hot hair through.

Containing a special conditioning ingredient called MiruStyle, the spray says it will improve the surface texture of the hair, making it smoother and  easier to dry.  It also promises to reduce friction, making combing and detangling of wet hair a breeze and it will act as a shield against temperatures up to 220°C inflicted from those dastardly heat stylers.

Right!  Science bit over, time to put it to the test.  Setting the stop watch, I went to work on my towel-dried hair with this super spray.  My hair is a few inches past my shoulders and it took approximately 6 minutes to dry totally and non-stop with a hair dryer.

Then I gave it a shot without the spray and you know what?  That took eight minutes.  The texture and feel of my hair was no different, which is a relief as I was worried the spray would add more weight to it and make my hair feel wiry.  It also holds my hair in place for longer so it’s a product with multiple functions.  I’m not a fan of using hair spray so I never really bother with using any.  In this case I still don’t need to use one as the blow drying effect does the trick at the same time.

I’ve been using this on and off for about three weeks, and certainly reach for it in the mornings when I’ve overslept by a few crucial minutes.  Trust me, those extra two minutes can make all the difference in catching that train and the doors shutting on you!

Priced at £5.99 for 200ml, Lee Stafford’s Blow Dry Your Hair Faster Spray is available exclusively at Boots nationwide and www.boots.com.  For more information on the entire Lee Stafford range, visit www.leestafford.com.
