I popped into my local Superdrug recently which has undergone yet another spot of feng shui to accommodate more make-up stands. One new addition to the line-up is Lottie London, a name that’s made quite a statement on the high street in the past few months. You may have noticed their make-up brushes which are recognisable by their colourful make-up brush handles.
With prices ranging from £4.99 to £9.49 and the quirky colour scheme, it’s obvious this fresh new brand is marketed at the younger market though the brushes alone are one aspect of Lottie London which is appealing to a mass audience and they’ve become my most used brushes for several reasons. The pastel colours are fun, the non-slip grip wooden handles are easy to hold and the vegan-friendly brushes are stupendously good quality that the high end ones should be quaking in their boots.
The set of brushes available include an eyeshadow brush, angled crease brush* (baby pink), blending brush* (lemon yellow), concealer brush, kabuki brush (purple), powder brush* (blue), bronzer brush* (coral), foundation brush* (mint green), blush brush (lilac) and a ‘selfie-ready’ brush set.
These brushes are absolutely brilliant. My favourite is the Bronzer Brush (£7.99, which I prefer to use as a blusher brush as its angle fits perfectly against the cheek bones. The Foundation Brush (£7.99) is also another good one, giving a truly flawless finish. By far it’s one of the nicest foundation brushes I’ve used in a long time.
Lottie London also has a wide range of nail polishes and accessories such as nail files and mirrors but it’s the brushes that steal the show. Pick up a bunch of these – you won’t regret it.
