MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Enriched Facebase
2012

Primers. Some reckon it’s not necessary, I am with the crowd that abides by it. Prepping your skin with a primer makes a huge difference – your make-up looks better, lasts longer – it’s probably one of the best creations. It takes no time to slip into your routine either. Dab a bit after moisturising, let it absorb into your skin for a few minutes before applying your foundation.
I was recently sent a 10ml sample pot of Me Me Me’s Seventh Heaven Enriched Facebase primer to try. The actual full sized pot is 30ml but does its magic really work wonders? For £15 it had better.
It’s also worth pointing out this product is a moisturising primer. Enriched with shea butter, vitamin A and Beta-Carotene to prep and prime skin, the scent actually reminds me of grapefruit (and it’s fabulous!)
How does it perform? Amazingly! It absorbs into the skin effortlessly and my foundation applies smoothly and evenly. A small dab is enough so although the pot might not contain much, it lasts the distance. I also feel like my make-up holds up much longer, there are no creases or a need to touch-up. In fact I’ll go as far as to say I prefer this primer than my Laura Mercier one (which is excellent).
At half the price of my usual choice of primer and a generous sized portion, I am impressed with MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Enriched Facebase and will certainly buy it.
MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Enriched Facebase costs £15.00 and is available from www.mememecosmetics.co.uk and Superdrug stores nationwide.

I haven’t tried primer yet which is silly because I use a lot of lots of different brands of moisturisers and usually end up with a very greasy face.
Can you recommend something a little cheaper for a beginner, please?
I absolutely love this stuff and have several pots tucked away for emergencies!
Hi Jen, the only ones I’ve tried are Smashbox, Avon, Nars, Laura Mercier and now MeMeMe. I didn’t like Avon at all – very plasticky and Smashbox was very silicon based and didn’t feel good at all, also thought Smashbox was overpriced and overrated. Inglot do a base for £13 (http://www.inglotuk.com/Face_Body-Base.html). However, I’ve not tried this although they have sachet samples if you ask in-store (that is if you are in London). Unfortunately I do not know of a cheaper base that I have tried and liked.
Jen, sorry! The post has been amended as I had based my review on a sample pot which is much smaller. The full size for the primer is 30ml so 3 times the size therefore £15 seems like very good value to me.
I really need a primer. I wouldn’t even use my makeup without it. I first used Smashbox which was years ago. It worked well but I tried it again & didn’t care for it. I’ve been using Laura Geller’s which I thought I liked. Does keep the makeup on longer. I tried a sample of Urban Decay Complexion Primer Potion Pore Perfecting. What a mouthful! Well it did make my pores practically disappear. I’m using up the Laura Geller plus lots of other samples. Then if I don’t find something better, I’m buying the Urban Decay. I have large pores and anything that makes them go away, I want! I am amazed that there is a product that makes makeup last longer. My makeup used to just sink in my skin and disappear. Love makeup primer. This product you have sounds pretty good.
i love a good moisturizing primer
Fantastic review I think I’m going to have to try this!:)
