Models Own Pink Lady

When I was younger and still at school, we’d always have a treat on the last afternoon of term. This was inevitably in the form of someone bringing in a video (this was WAY before the days of DVDs) and we’d get to wheel in the “big” TV and all sit in one classroom and watch a film. Those poor teachers. We would always choose Grease. Always, always. Even now as I am older and left school longer ago than I care to remember, Grease still gets an occasional spin in the DVD player, and I do have the soundtrack on my iPod. So, when Models Own sent me the fabulously named Pink Lady to try out, I couldn’t wait.

This one is for all of you who are bored, bored, bored of the nude trend and are chomping at the bit to get going with some bright shades for summer. This is an awesome shade of fuschia pink, along the same lines as OPI’s Pompeii Purple or Ciate’s Shaken Not Stirred.

To my mind, you really can’t go wrong with a striking hot pink with a strong blue flash. I really think that this is universally flattering and would look amazing on most people’s fingers or toes. It is one of the shiniest polishes I have ever tried and I honestly can’t stop looking at my hands.

Application was OK. This is a jelly polish and it did require 4 coats to eliminate most of the visisble nail line. H0wever, it dried so fast that I was ok with that, and even added a fifth coat just to make sure. After all – I love it and want to wear it for a few days so want to make sure it lasts.

Please ignore the ding in my middle finger in the top photo by the way – it is a dent in my actual nail, nothing to do with the polish or the application.

The blue tinge in this is stronger than in a lot of competitors to this shade, and as I sit here at my desk with the early Spring sunshine making a brief appearance, I can also spy an inner shimmer that isn’t initially evident just from looking at the bottle.

I always wanted to be a Pink Lady. Not Sandy – she was too much of a goody-goody, although I found Rizzo to be terrifying. I suppose that’s never going to happen, so for now I will make do with having Pink Lady nails.

Models Own kindly sent me this for review. Their products retail at £5.00 each and can be purchased here.

Could be the sort of polish to grow on a person…..

LOL! We weren’t allowed to bring our own movies in, so we got shown “Memphis Belle” or “Stand By Me” from the school library over and over and over again 🙂

Very pretty polish on you. I never wanted to be the goody two shoes girl either. I’d like to be the leather jacketed and tattooed girl. Alas I’m not. My nails can be bad. I love pinks and this is really a beauty.

This color would look fabulous on toes in the summer with some color (tan). I love the pinks in the summer with tans. They just go together perfectly.
