This post has been a really long time in the making. Bit shameful really as my Nars blusher collection isn’t as big as that of some other bloggers (mentioning no names…) Can you believe that I’d never even used a blusher up until about two years ago? I just didn’t know how to apply it or what to do with it. Thankfully those days are gone, and I’m a big old blusher fan now.
I’ve got my collection to show you here… let’s take look, shall we?
Sin was my first Nars blusher. Described as a berry pink shade, it is pretty dark. I use it for contouring and I absolutely love it – shot though with gold shimmer, it is still my favourite.
Douceur is my most used blusher. A matte rose shade, it is ideal for everyday wear. I wear this for work most days and find it to be totally subtle, flattering and minimum effort.
Madly was a bit of a spur of the moment internet purchase. It is a really fine peach shimmer that is very girly and smooth. It is one of the more sheer blushers of my collection and is nice in the summer. Probably my least-used blusher.
Lovejoy is one that I have been eyeing up for ages and I haven’t actually had it all that long. It is super, super pigmented and takes a careful hand. It is very similar to Illamasqua Ambition, with the same type of golden shimmer.
Orgasm must be one of Nars’ most famous products, more so these days for its popularity and sales than for the silly name. I know many people find it hard to show up on their skin, and Orgasm does look better layered over another matte blusher. I like it, but can I live without it? Yes. It’s pretty enough but not a must-have as far as I am concerned. Treason?
Recent additions that are not in the main picture are the next two. I freely admi that I was totally enabled into buying Torrid. It is a bright coral shade with gold fleck and is so pigmented that it would be easy to achieve Aunt Sally cheeks. A light hand is a must but it is gorgeous and the hype is to be believed.
And finally, Super Orgasm. This is a mini version that I was given after spending a fortune in Liberty. The base colour is actually very, very nice but to get to it you have to cope with the glitter. Super chunky, this fell out all over my face and into my hair, giving me Super Orgasm ears. No need. Once it settled, it was very nice indeed, but the glitter is a total pain. I don’t know if it is packed all the way through the pan – time will tell.
So, what do you think? Do you have any of these? Do you have any recommendations for me?
