OPI Didgeridoo Your Nails?
2011
Remember last year when I was talking about various OPI colours that are being discontinued in 2011? Well, this is one of them. I guess because OPI
make a million pinky shades so they had to decide which ones to cut to make room for newer colours.
Didgeridoo Your Nails is (unsurprisingly) from OPI’s Australia collection from 2007. I don’t have many polishes from this collection as I think they keep being discontinued!
Anyway. It’s a very pretty rose pink with a slight pearly gold finish. Very classic
and nice looking. If pushed, I think it’s a tad mumsy but that’s not a criticism, there is always a place for something like this. It goes with everything and won’d raise any eyebrows at work, but I think I’d be more comfortable with it on my toes than on my hands for some reason. I think it would make a lovely Spring/Summer pedicure.
Application was iffy. This is about five coats as it is really rather sheer. Frustrating to be honest, and I ended up having to use a good old dollop of Seche Vite to sort this out so that it was dry enough for me to go to bed.
What do you think? A lady I know from OPI said that this is her favourite name of all of the OPI polishes, and I am inclined to agree – its a great name. But the polish? It’s more of a Didgeridon’t.
I was told the other day that the Australia collection was one of OPI’s first forays into the Big-3-Free formula, and yes, you can tell.

It’s a beautiful shade, but your description of the application means I will not be rushing out to buy it.
Looks lovely on you but it’s still a definite ‘why bother’. It’s dramatic because your nails are long but a waste of time and space really. On short nails it would be ‘meh’ and on long nails it’s distinctly average.
It reminds me of stewed rhubarb, like the colour but have to agree with Jenni that the drama comes from your nails rather than the colour.
Pretty shade of polish. I love anything with a gold finish in it. Looks pretty and is perfect for work. Shame it’s so sheer. Phooey! I don’t own it.
