Review: Melvita’s Nectar de Roses Collection
This month skincare brand Melvita launches its Nectar de Roses Body Collection*. If you’re a slave to all things rose scented (as I am), then this will arouse your senses.
This group of four key products combines three wild roses, including wild rose extract, which is known to activate skin hydration and consists of a Petal Shower Gel (£13), a Hydrating Body Veil (£15), a multi-purpose balm (£10), and the Rose Sauvages Eau de Toilette (£36). The fragrance combines rosa canina, rose gallica and rose mosqueta with woody base notes of the leaves while the multi-purpose balm can be applied to lips, dry skin, cuticles and the ends of hair.
All deemed affordable (Melvita belongs to the L’Occitane family), Nectar de Roses is beautifully light and fresh, delightfully perfect to usher in the spring season. It’s not in the same scented league as the fragrances of Stella and Ghost, which are deeply sweet and sensual but with the hint of wild roses, teases just a bit and is lovely enough to use every day.
At the time of writing this, the exact date of this range being made available was not known but I have a strong feeling it will be out some time this week in the run-up to Valentine’s Day. To be sure, visit http://uk.melvita.com/.
