Royal Diamond by Yardley
2012
Back in February, I revealed Yardley would be launching a new scent to mark the Queen’s 60 years of reign.
Well, their fragrance Royal Diamond is inspired by the upcoming Diamond Jubilee, which is this coming weekend (in case you didn’t know).

So what can be said about Royal Diamond? Not surprisingly Yardley has remained loyal to its beliefs of creating a sophisticated sweet fragrance that echoes of all things quintessentially English. It is also special for another reason: it is their first floral bouquet perfume.
With delicate hints of pear and bergamot with a subtle note of honey, the fragrance is wrapped up in a bouquet of floral fancies, nodding at Yardley’s classic range of rose, peony and lily of the valley scents. The finishing touches come from soft cedar wood, benzoin, vanilla and sandalwood, which makes for a enchanting and sparkling perfume.
The bottle itself is vintage Yardley yet charmingly understated. Less is more after all and unlike a lot of products marking the Jubilee celebrations, this one isn’t for a limited time only.
I consider Royal English Daisy (which launched last year) as one of my favourite scents, and Royal Diamond is most definitely another I am happy to add to my collection. It’s not heavy or sickly sweet, and is perfect for everyday wear. It’s also made in England, something I am proud to see.
