If you’ve seen my latest YouTube video, you’ll know 2012 has been about skincare for me.
A few months ago I was invited to meet Pnina Vilinsky, the lady behind Luxtural, a fine luxurious skincare brand. If you’re turned off by expensive products then skip along but if you would at least like to learn more about one, then please read on.
Luxtural has been created from a combination of luxury, nature and cosmetic science for skincare that is natural, organic and ultimately pure indulgence.
A sustainable, green brand Luxtural uses the unusual ingredient of Pure Pacific Ocean Rainwater combined with exotic extracts in collaboration with nanotechnology. (And pause for breath.)
There are only three multi-tasking products required for your daily routine and which address the issues of deep anti-aging and hydration. It is free of parabens and synthetic fragrances, and is suitable for all skin types.
Pnina did a personal analysis of my skin and noticed that despite its healthy condition, I lacked hydration. It’s something I can’t escape living in a busy city like London and starving my skin cells of moisture and oxygen on the tubes.
I was recommended to use Luxtural’s Deep Hydrating Rainy Mist once a day (in the evenings). OK, it is an eye-watering £78 but wait till you find out why.
Based on Pacific ocean rainwater, it’s made up of exotic extracts and all-natural ingredients, which hydrate, balance and instantly freshen and moisturise stressed skin…and it smells divine. Spray a little all over your face, inhale the scent and it will absorb into your skin instantly.
The formula draws moisture from the air and deposits softly on the surface of your face. And guess what? You can spritz it over make-up without it spoiling your work of art. Imagine how useful this product would be when you’ve just got off a plane or that the office air-con has sucked your face dry.
That’s Step 1 done – ‘Mystique Fountain’. Step 2 is ‘Silk Premonition’ (otherwise known as the Facial Deep Moisturizer Anti-Aging Lotion for £165) that you apply all over for an instant boost to your appearance. And relax.
The anti-aging qualities of this lotion helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and at the same time, firms the skin and the seaweed used in this product supplies the skin with vitamins and proteins.
Finally Step 3 is the ‘Sophisticated Veil’ (or the Facial Anti-Aging Deep Moisturizing Serum priced at £195).
The serum stands out for more than one reason. Firstly, to ‘activate’ it you work a tiny blob between your finger-tips before applying. Secondly, you only apply to the areas in need for balance (in my case, it’s avoiding the T-zone and concentrating on the cheeks and eye area). It’s a clear glue-like looking formula that wraps your skin in a nourishing ‘veil’ and helps to prevent premature aging (I definitely need some of that!).
As with premium products, content is highly rich (but not heavy) and only a tiny amount goes a very long way. Luxtural also has a rather calming and soothing effect like it’s diffusing the madness on your face after stripping off the make-up and the stress of the day you’ve had.
Having been following the Luxtural regime for a few months, I have noticed my skin feels delicately soft and supple and my complexion glows. In these winter months your skin is in dire need of TLC and with Luxtural it takes just three products in very tiny amounts. Also how many beauty products contain thrice-filtered Pacific Ocean rainwater? It is sheer bliss in three easy steps.
I won’t harp on about the price tags because at the end of the day that usually is a deciding factor in your choice of purchases. This is a luxurious range but if I had to pick one star product spoil yourself with, it is definitely the Deep Hydrating Rainy Mist – a hydrator like no other.
