Vichy Idéalia Life Serum
Using a serum in my daily skin care routine has become such a mandatory part that if I don’t use it, I will feel guilty. We all know a moisturiser is not a sufficient barrier on its own and in fact its job is to do just that – moisturise. A serum goes much further and if you value your skin the older you get, you’ll be concerned about finding the right one to suit your needs.
One such serum which I’ve found so good that I’ve used up every last blob is Vichy’s Idéalia Life Serum. The French skin care brand’s newest addition targets anti-ageing in a way that works with our lifestyle, a scientific understanding which has been labelled by Vichy as “behavioural ageing”.
We are all dictated by at least one or a number of factors which contribute to us getting old be it smoking, drinking, lack of sleep, sun exposure, dry weather, pollution or a poor diet. Vichy’s Idéalia Life Serum aims to give you a fresh complexion as it works with your hectic lifestyle so it’s like a cheat serum but in a good way! As much as we would like to change our habits for the better, sometimes it’s just not possible so knowing there is a product on the market which tackles the obvious causes of ageing is one a lot of us will sit up and listen to.
As I mentioned I’ve been using this serum religiously since I got my grubby mitts on it about a month ago. OK, I don’t drink or smoke and I am fortunate to have genetics on my side but I am concerned about looking old because I do want to continue fooling my nosey relatives that I’m not yet over the hill as potential marriage material. (I do jest by the way…or maybe I don’t. *weeps*)
I’ve really liked using this serum. It’s not your bog standard white looking cream either. It has a light, baby pink shimmer to it which illuminates and corrects skin tone for a fresh complexion so it’s not just bottled up to look pretty. I’ve tried my best to capture its true colour but it really can only be appreciated if you see it for yourself.
It has a light, delicate floral fragrance to it which I love but of course, the most important thing here is, it works wonderfully for me. I am bothering less with make-up and more with effort on skin care, and this serum from Vichy seems perfect to stick to so I will be purchasing a replacement. I should add it has been carefully formulated for all skin types – yes, even the most sensitive and fragile.
Until recently I had never used Vichy and I am beginning to wonder why I hadn’t paid attention sooner. I am now also intrigued to explore the rest of their range so if you’re familiar with Vichy and could recommend some products, do let me know.
A 30ml bottle of Idéalia Life Serum costs £29.50 and is exclusive to Boots until September when it will be rolled out nationwide.
